Lisa Weinert is passionate about the healing power of storytelling. She has worked with hundreds of bestselling and award-winning authors as an editor and publicist at for the past fifteen years and has witnessed first hand how the written word transforms lives. She also completed a 500-hour Yoga Works teacher training in 2015 and is certified in both Restorative and Therapeutic Yoga with Jillian Pransky, where she learned how we all carry stories in our bodies.

In 2011, Lisa launched her own consulting company Lisa Weinert Consulting (LWC) after working at the Knopf Doubleday Group at Random House as a publicist and editor for eight years. and spending one year working on digital marketing campaigns with ebook start up Open Road Integrated Media. She has published and promoted a range of authors focusing on topical nonfiction and literary fiction, with a special interest in narrative medicine, women’s leadership, social advocacy, health, and spirituality. In 2015, she cofounded a new publishing imprint, ARCHER, with LA-based independent publisher Rare Bird, where they provide full-scale global distribution and top-of-the-line publicity for a range of authors. 

Motivated by the healing and transformative power of storytelling, in June 2016 she created the debut annual Narrative Medicine program at Kripalu, an immersion with doctors, yogis and literary writers exploring the use and impact of storytelling and compassionate listening in the healing process. She teaches restorative yoga and curates workshops in yoga and storytelling called "StoryFlow" in New York City and is creator and host of a new podcast, "Narrative Medicine with Lisa Weinert".

Tyson Cornell is the founder of Rare Bird Lit and Rare Bird Books, a distribution partner of Publishers Group West and The Perseus Books Group, and their three subsidiary imprints, Barnacle, Vireo, and Rare Bird. In 2014, Cornell partnered with Lisa Weinert to provide global book and e-book distribution for the entire ARCHER catalog of existing and forthcoming titles.




Julia Callahan started her career in the Book Soup Annex. She managed to work her way up to Assistant Director of Marketing and Publicity before Tyson hired her to help him with his new company, Rare Bird. She has worked in the publishing industry for ten years and has a BA in Literature and a BA in History from the University of California, Santa Cruz.



Alice Marsh-Elmer is the Senior Editorial and Design Director for ARCHER, Rare Bird, and all of their imprints. She began her career with Rare Bird as an intern and has grown alongside Rare Bird Books to become an invaluable part of the industry. With a background in design and visual arts, she holds a BA in Photography and Gender Studies from the University of Redlands. In addition to books, she's an avid lover of public radio and travel.


Winona is a Los Angeles-based book publicist. One could say that her interest in publishing emerged when she started selling her own coloring books on the playground during recess. She has since promoted a diverse range of titles and genres from presses both large and small, including Gold Line Press, Kaya Press, and Hachette Book Group. She holds a BA in English and Two Dimensional Studies from the University of Southern California. 


Heather has worked as a PR professional for close to 18 years. Beginning her career at Ruder Finn (NYC)/Planned Television Arts (now Media Connect), she is an expert in booking print and online campaigns, as well as satellite radio and television tours.

She has worked on numerous corporate campaigns and has extensive experience with fiction and non-fiction titles, from self-help and health to business and personal finance. Heather has booked media tours for Alzheimer’s awareness and Pool Safety (Red Cross). She has also worked with popular chefs like Mario Batali and Sarabeth Levine. Heather has booked radio tours (fiction titles) for Stan Lee, Dean Koontz and Janet Evanovich, as well as for health gurus like David Wolfe and celebrity dermatologists (Dr. Howard Murad) and celebrity trainers (Jillian Michaels).
